Mr. Spencer Nam
Director of Research

Prior to joining Summer Street Research Partners, Mr. Nam followed large- and mid-cap medical supply and device companies as an associate at SG Cowen. Previously, he worked in early-stage principal investing in the healthcare and technology industries at Technology Directors, Inc. He also worked as a consultant at Bain & Company, where he advised senior management teams at Fortune 500 companies on key corporate strategic issues. Nam received a BA in mathematics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard
 
Ms. Carol Werther
Senior Analyst, Biotechnology

Prior to joining Summer Street Research Partners, Carol Werther worked as a biotechnology consultant for several firms, including Winslow Management and Rx Capital. She has also held senior biotechnology analyst positions at Think Equity and Adams Harkness & Hill. Ms. Werther was recognized by The Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street Survey" in 2000 and 2001. She received an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business, and holds an MS and BS in nutrition sciences from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and Cornell University, respectively. 
 
Jon Stephenson, CFA

Prior to rejoining Summer Street Research Jon spent the past two years working at Akasha Capital and John Hancock Funds as a healthcare analyst and sector fund manager, respectively. In his previous stint at Summer Street, Jon worked as a senior analyst responsible for specialty pharmaceuticals from 2003 to 2007. He has also worked as a healthcare analyst at State Street Research, an investment management firm. Jon is a chartered financial analyst and holds a BA in history from Bucknell University.
 
Ben Forrest
Associate Analyst, Medical Supplies and Devices

Prior to joining Summer Street Research Partners, Ben Forrest worked with GE Healthcare as a member of its Commercial Leadership Program. He also worked as a business development consultant with the Northern California Cancer Center and Molecular Image, a medical device start-up company. Until recently moving to Boston, Mr. Forrest served on the board of directors at StartUp EPA, a nonprofit organization assisting aspiring entrepreneurs in low-income areas of Northern California. Mr. Forrest received a BA in Economics from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Stanford University.
 
Brittany Lewis

Prior to joining Summer Street Research Partners, Brittany Lewis held the position of Dietitian/Nutritionist at Dorchester House Multi-Service Center focusing on the adult population with diabetes. Previously, Ms. Lewis completed a nutrition internship through Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. Ms. Lewis holds a BS in Nutrition and Food Sciences with an emphasis in Dietetics from Utah State University.
